After extensive planning, preparation, and groundwork, Northstar Care & Support has launched with a clear purpose: to provide calm, consistent, and genuinely person-centred community support for adults with mental health needs across the Fylde Coast.

Northstar was created in response to a growing need for support that feels human, respectful, and meaningful. Too often, individuals experience services that are rushed, impersonal, or shaped by systems rather than by people. From the outset, Northstar has been built to do things differently — focusing on relationships, consistency, and support that adapts to the individual, not the other way around.

Our approach centres on one-to-one, community-based support that helps people build confidence, routine, independence, and connection in everyday life. We work alongside individuals at a pace that feels right for them, recognising that mental health needs can be short-term, long-term, or lifelong — and that progress is rarely linear.

Northstar is proud to launch as a small, values-led service with a strong foundation in lived experience, frontline support work, and a deep understanding of the challenges people face within existing systems. By remaining intentionally focused and community-based, we are able to provide personalised support that prioritises dignity, choice, and wellbeing at all times.
