Northstar’s Future Plans
At Northstar Care & Support, our focus has always been on building support that feels purposeful, connected, and genuinely meaningful. As we grow, our future plans are shaped by the same values that guided our launch — consistency, dignity, community, and long-term wellbeing.
One of our long-term goals is to develop Northstar-supported living accommodation, designed specifically around mental health needs.
This would be a calm, supportive environment with strong communal spaces, including a shared lounge and TV area, games room, quiet safe space, and a dedicated room for learning, skill-building, and structured activities.
The aim is to create a setting that promotes independence while still offering stability, routine, and connection
Alongside this, we are actively exploring options for a Northstar office and community hub.
This space would not only support our staff team but also provide a welcoming, informal environment where individuals can drop in, socialise, take part in activities, or simply spend time in a safe and supportive setting.
Community connection is central to good mental health, and we believe having a physical space can play an important role in reducing isolation.
We also plan to expand our activity-based and social programmes, offering both individual and group opportunities.
This includes supporting people who enjoy teamwork and friendly competition to take part in activities such as five-a-side football, pool, darts, and other team-based pursuits.
For others, support may focus on individual interests, quieter activities, or confidence-building experiences at a pace that feels comfortable.
As Northstar develops, we will continue to grow carefully and intentionally — ensuring quality, consistency, and personalised support are never compromised. Future plans also include strengthening partnerships with local services, community organisations, and professionals, allowing us to offer joined-up support that truly reflects each person’s life and goals.
Our vision is not rapid expansion, but sustainable growth — building services that last, adapt, and continue to put people first. Every step forward will be guided by what works best for the individuals we support and the communities we serve.
